Make you own pleat board.

With some practice, I have the method of making my own pleat boards, out of poster board and fusible interfacing. Not as durable as retail ones, but only cost me about $2.00 to make and about 20 mins. They run from $40 to $150 depending on what size you want retail.

I went with a stronger accordion of 2 back and 3 forward, giving me a 1 cm revel. The basic accordion is 1 back and 2 forward.

For the shirts I am planning to make, the basic is OK, but for the jacket, details and jogger pant knee pads and such, need a stronger pleat that won’t open up on the band points.
