New boxerbrief with a jockstrap like pouch

Sewing Project, New boxerbrief with a jockstrap like pouch, a side, and upper thigh contrast panels. Going to rename this the Jock Pouch Sport Brief.

This is going to be a more compression short, then a boxerbrief. That being said boxerbriefs should be snug to tight fitting not baggy anywhere. My preference is a more fitted and tight-knit garment.

Fabric being used are heavyweight apparel scuba knit, about 325gms. mostly black with burgundy accent panels. This scuba knit is 4way about 15% stretch, so the pattern was designed with about a 15% negative ease (this is how I design a more fitting stretch fabric garment, I am sure it goes against every professional out there, but my in my world it works )

Not sure if I am using the correct negative ease, could be 7.5% or 15% will look that up.

Basically, with a 15% stretch, my waist is 33″ so 33″X85%=28″ so the pattern was designed with a 30-inch waist, right in the middle of the two, actual waist (33) and minus the 15% stretch (28).

Made a mater block with no panels or cut lines, so I can do a quick trace copy and do a unique design for each build as I want

Going to be using my mock reverse coverstitch method (the more popular honeycomb stich) to finish the seams, slight change to the method, using a 3/8″ seam allowance, needed a bit more fabric in the seams,

This is the new basic block for new boxerbrief, I am naming it jock pouch sport brief. Going to be similar to a compression short, bit not as tight fitting, be more tight or fitted them a traditional boxerbrief.
