Sewing project, Joggers from oversized black sweatpants.
Have a black oversized pair of sweatpants, let me see if I can make them into a better looking and fitting pair of stylish joggers. Just going to be for wearing around the house, not making them for outside public wear.
My pant size is 32 – 34-inch waist, 28-inch inseam, the black sweatpants are an extra large, I measured them they are about 40-inch waist.
My hubby is a few sizes larger them me and does not like clothes are soon as they are not new locking, instead of tossing them or donating them, I usually get them and resize them or make something different out of them.
Chopped off the waistband and ankle cuffs and then cut about 6 inches off the width of the pant legs. and left the inner and crotch seam intact.
Used some bottom weight sport performance fabric for contact let panel inset for the outlet leg.
Went well, just did on mess up, sewed one of the hip panels upside down, had to do a bit of altering to fix the mixup.
My britches are too big, hehe
tan cameo PJ’s are a fitted pair. The black sweatpants are an extra large, a hand me down from my Huddy. Going to make them into a better-looking pair of joggers.
I like to repurpose clothes and get a bit more wear out them before sending them to the landfill.
Messed up, the side panel on jogger build, are supposed the be 6 inches wide at top and taper to 4 inches at the knee, did one correct, the other I sewed it upside down, 4 inches at the top and 6 inches at the knee
I do need to take in at the knee and add a triangle inset at the top to get to correct measurements
The knee opening should be 12 inches
