My leg sleeves:
Medical and vanity, both equally important to me.
Have wear them every day, with the quadruple issues of varicose veins (had several burned out), blog clots (had several, one even caused pulmonary arrest), and peripheral arterial sclerosis, heart disease/high blood pressure.
I have prescription for thigh-high(full leg) medical stockings, 25 to 35 mmHg (was 35 to 55, lost weight and toned up, doc changed Rx)
The cost of full leg medical compression stocking is between $30 to $65 pair, only last about 30 wearings and washing. My insurance covers calf stocking 3 a month, and the leg sleeves I make last at least 50 to 75 wasings and wearings.
Can make a pair of leg sleeves for about $4 to $5 depending on fabric.
For making my own and to make my doctor happy, I wear actual medical calf stocking and wear my leg sleeves over them, I need most of the compression in the calf, and just a little in the thighs.
